Thx, yes i found that article and will try that Mod.
But does anyone know if the Cop steering box bolts up and which one is it?

IIRC, Cop power steering boxes first showed up in about 1974? and continued to the last RWD Diplomat police car in 1989.

Not all "cop cars" have Cop Steering boxes. The cop car steering box was part of the special police handling option and noted on the fender tag. What might seem like a HiPo cop car in the yard, might be a general services, city patrol, etc vehicle that was not needed for extreme performance. There used to be a rumor that if there was a rubber plug with a molded in "K" inserted into a tag on the top adjusting nut, it was a special cop car steering box. Take that info for what it's worth.

Now just because you find a cop car in the junkyard with the police handling stamped on the fender tag, doesn't mean it still has a cop box still in it. Those cars are commonly turned into Taxi Cabs and get tons of hard miles put on them and not easy on steering boxes.

If the steering box was replaced by the Taxi cab company, it is EXTREMELY doubtful they would replace it with a NOS police box that was about double the cost of a remanufactured Mopar parts steering box back in the day. And most likely a Taxi cab company would just exchange the steering box for a cheaper independent parts store rebuilt box than a Mopar remanufactured one.

Also all cop car steering boxes are large spline output since they started making them in the mid 70's after the last small spline box was offered in 1972 model year.
