I'd get 2 Edelbrock strip kits for the model of carbs you have & yes peruse the Edel site for tuning info. The 1406's are a bit lean. I'd get a vac gauge and a tach & go the next size up in pri jets (.098" iirc) if running 1406's then finalize the timing (initial/total/springs/vac adv) & then start on the carb & note your in gear idle speed vacuum number for a tuning start. EDIT No chokes in the pic so they are likely 1405's & would not need to be jetted richer before you work with the ign timing. Correct the timing then the carbs
