I almost was going to suggest the exact same thing/cam.
Its big though, 290/290 @ .050 .650/.650 on a 108 LSA Better have enough vert.
Although using the Cam Dynamics cam he has is a reasonable choice if he was happy with the way the MP 0.590" ran. Here is a newer alternative to the Comp 290, 0.650".
Comp Cams MM305S-10 This is what I measured: 305º/320º@.020", 279º/287º@.050", 197º/200º@.200", 143º/143º@.300", 112º/107º@.350", 0.433"/0.420" lobe, 110 LSA (with 1.5 = 0.650/0.630)
What CR does the motor have?
