I have a 64 sweptline I'm putting a BB in. This what I've learned so far...oil pan is easy...front sump is stock... rear sump will work too. Don't use a center sump.

Stock..the BB sweptys used center dump manifold on both sides. For headers the cheap full size headmans seem to work....but I'm going with the stainless shorty style headers.. they can be had on eBay for under $200. They exist more like stock and seem to give more clearance (I'm willing to give up a little power for clearance).

The disk brake kit mentioned above is the cheapest way to go. Sid's makes a drop front axle too.

I'm installing a 833 OD trans and plan on using a shifter from a mid/late 70's truck. I already bought it but don't know about fit yet. Its meant for a truck... so I would think its my best bet. Its not a pistol grip...but its a Hurst unit...swap the ugly stock knob for a hurst ball for looks.
