the metal valley pan gasket is Felpro 1214 for 383/400 & Felpro 1215 for 440's. Has (4) .030" paper gaskets which you may or may not use or want to use. A guy on here sells thin ones (.015). Is your eng together & you picked up an alum intake for it?. People have reused the valley pans & if so I'd recommend a thin/even coat of Permatex #1 in the toothpaste like tube on both sides of each of the 8 port openings in the metal valley pan gasket. #1 is to mockup the intake/valley pan & see where on the slope of the "v" the intake resides as you even it up from side to side & the bolt hole alignment will tell you where you are at with that. block deck height/past milling/gasket thickness/head milling can put the width of the V & therefore where the manifold sits up at almost anywhere. If the width of the V will let you run the paper gaskets by all means do so & spray em with Permatex 99MA "high tack" the red stuff in the spray can. Goes on light/even & is extremely tacky & seals very well
