Mar-Hyde or SEM satin black trim paint will have the right sheen (if not the right texture) and is a good look without breaking the bank.

Easy to apply as well...







some early cars were medium argent, and the Mar-Hyde does spray well, I usually shoot Mar-Hyde in a siphon/pressure gun with the air pressure cranked up and the fluid flow dialed back to create some texture and sheen...with varying spray techniques, the Mar-Hyde can simulate organsol or even interior suede finishes, and a very rapid dusting from a few feet away of silver metallic while wet helps in the Faux organsol finish
