Thanks for the tip. I'm not there just yet, but I do remember we had to drill 1 hole when we went to power steering. It wouldn't surprise me if it did crack there. My passenger side motor mount pad is cracked too.

I DO live on a dirt road. It is fairly maintained, but the tractor tires leave bumps in the road. And I do/did work construction where we were required to drive over cow grates to shake off the mud before we went out to the exit. I avoided them as much as possible.

I wonder if any of that contributed to any cracking?

I've been driving it for the past ~10 years, but we've owned it for about 20.
