There is a better easier way to tell early vintage from later vintage. If you look at the pic you posted of your later manifold you will see it has the revised casting where the manifold ports meet the head (they are more smoothed) This was started in 1969. Allen's pic of his RH manifold has the "step" at the ports where the manifold meets the head. (pic right above yours)

As a side note: all the repro manifolds have the stepped ports since they were modeled after early manifolds. Which is really funny when they cast the 34xxxxx Ebody style part # into it
