So here I sit trying to figure out someone elses car,69 satellite with most of the original wiring cut out of it and painless wiring to replace it (dont ask) and when we first fire it the volts are upper 13s but after a short time they start climbing and settle in a little over 17,what can do this?

My first thought was the reg,swapped it out and got the same thing,checked the way its wired and seems ok.

Oh this is a two wire alt.

We really neec to convert this back to factory wiring!
