Yup, welded to the ribs on the bottom of the car, the cupped area goes up & sandwiches with the high area of the floor.. I don't believe there is anything on the inside.. It's been years & I could be wrong but I don't think so.... I need to clean the bottom of the car, hasn't been done in a few years.... I use to stay on that stuff, now I just drive it...
