When you have an iron block you do not need the super special weight saving high$$$ stuff for superlight weight race. If you can use 1/2" for the big studs all the way, then try what fits Fords. I know some of the W9 alublock studs (mains?) use 1/2" UNC in block and is phased down to 7/16" UNF, probably to save weight. This means special design and special price, that you should not need. If you can run 1/2" through the boltholes in the head, then try again! And check that there is room for a washer and 1/2" UNF 12-point nut. My
