not sure what you mean, Bill; assuming you mean "forged" when you say "steel", then all HP motors '70 - '72 used forged cranks and "heavy" 906 rods.

Steel for lack of thinking ,I was refering to 73 and later.All the big rod 440's that I ( me personally ) have taken apart were steel crank motors.
