The 525" B1 when on the odd occasion I run it all out I shift at 8300. It does not have enough gear or converter for running all out and I cross the stripe at a pedestrian 7450. Al what's the bore/stroke on that engine? i'm figuring stroke in the 3.5-3.6" range and bore 4.7ish? as for the OP question, no faster than i have to. too fast in the burnout though (probably 7600-7700) leaving 3400, shifting 6800, crossing around 7-7200
