It has a top which is not 100% sealed as it has slots where the cables come out but I drilled a hole thru the battery box and the trunk floor and put a small vent tube going out to the underside of the car. Funny thing is the 2 times I have raced the car with the 493 and ran 10's neither track even checked for a cutoff switch or a battery box vent. Ron
