you can change the ratio by moving where the cable connects to the carb. closer to the throttle shaft the less it will pull the further away (down) the more throw. I usually drill a new hole in the carb closer to the throttle shft(butterfly arm). You can do the same with the trans arm also. I use locar cables all the time and they work perfect for me.
