Yes need to check the out put shaft! I have never broke one, but I have seen plenty of others tho!! Check the rear mount for movement, A motor can ' charge ' forward under de-accell if the drive shaft is to short can cause issues,, same as charging forward under heavy load, bent drive shaft, bad u joints,, look for binding in the shafts movement area!!
