So I'm having my new 440 dyno ed this Friday. This is my first professional build motor and dyno tuning. I purchased a short block off another member on here back in June. He had new rings and bearing installed at Jensens engine tech in PA. So I took my top end and cam to Jensens to have him complete the job. I'll list the specs on the motor below. I picked up the motor last week to paint and make sure that my current accessorys will work. Now it is almost ready to go back. I know that on the dyno, he will break the motor in, install the inner springs, and reset the valve lash. Then tune the carb as needed.

Now the questions.

What questions should I be asking at the dyno session ?

What kind of power do you think the motor will make?

30 over 440
Ross forged pistons
10.5 to 1
Scat h-beam rods
Forged crank
906 heads with larger SS valves. I don't know the size.
Had the bowls blend for the new valve cut.
MP 284/528 solid cam
Crane gold 1.5 rockers
E-Brock rpm performer
Pro systems 4150 / built for this set up
HP manifolds. I won't beable to use my manifolds at the dyno. He has headers to use.

I think thats everything.

With headers I would think you will might be a little over the 500 hp mark and 509-513 ft/lbs. With manifolds a lot less. Either way a day on the dyno can be a lot of fun and I'm sure you will have a nice engine on your hands. J.Rob
