Ok, I know this topic has been hashed out already, but now I know what I need to do to get better times off the line. My M/T's are set at 18 psi, I typically do a quick burn out (hit 3-4k for a second or two), rarely get the tires smoking, hear the squak and roll out to the line, yet am able to hit the 1.65 60' times. Is it REALLY necessary to do a "John Force" burn out with those tires? I did dyno my engine recently and at the crank I am at 582hp so maybe I do need to get them hotter/stickier than I thought. Those who use them, how long are you in box? Until they start to smoke? Longer? Could use some pointers here.... thanks.
