So after fiddling around a bit, turns out I was a tooth off on the timing set. Pulled the cover off, re did the timing, put new points and a newer coil on, and she fired

Of course we had previously pulled the plugs, oiled the cylinders, and hand cranked her over a few times.
She fired up, and was firing on all 6 cylinders. There was a light thump/tap that my buddy says could be a main.
NO smoke though

So now I am going to buy stuff to finish the front of the motor (water pump, thermostat and housing, belts/hoses) reason being, is now it'll be able to be moved around the shop under its own power

assuming the trans is any good.
But I have a lead on a 225 that supposedly runs great and come with a working 904 that's going to get gone through and dropped in. But for now, it runs for the first time in 10+ years
