Well when I blew air into them, they would rise to the snap ring and then fall back down. I thought that there was a spring that held them up, even though it was light.

The other lifters are impossible to compress by hand, but I'm sure they would if I hooked them up to spring pressure.

So should I soak these in some oil and see what happens?
