Hello all,

I bought a lot of top end parts from someone who had a cracked block on their 340. This set included a retrofit hydraulic roller for a small block.

I checked out the lifters, and I found that two of them (on two different pairs) have the below issue:

The plunger is sitting down in the bore. I can't just take the snap ring out and disassemble and clean it because the plunger doesn't clear the attachment piece for the link bar. When I blow in to the oil hole on the side with a very, very low pressure, the plunger rises freely.

Is there really an issue with these? Any way I can resolve it without replacing these lifters? I believe that they are Cranes...and they're $83 a pair from what I've seen.

Thanks for the help!
