Could be....I just don't find it much fun having to clean off all that snot off the head and gasket everytime I set the valves or just pull the covers to take a look-see.
Permanent seal maybe....but NOT for periodic removal.If your covers are half decently true on the surface, you shouldn't need sealer anyways. The factory didn't.
