Get the air cleaner hot, like 200-250 degrees in a oven. Then put a cover coat. Back in oven at 150-200 for 10-15 minutes. Then final coat or repeat once more. Doesn't need thick coats. Then bake for 1 hour at 150-200 degrees.

Will look very uniform and will be VERY durable. Way more uniform that factory. Factory had runs and not uniform coverage.

The run in this valve cover it because I put a coat on too thick. Next run I experimented with multiple very thin distant fog coats on that air cleaner top. That was over reacting and got paint everywhere . I got less wrinkle and more of a uniform textured look. Best technique was in between both those ideas with the same looking results as the distant fog coats.
