ok i can go from hot lug on on drag circut panel inside firewall to reg terminal,then both field terminal spades to regulator 3 wires,i thought sence wire turns on reg from draw not rob power? it sees draw goes into charge mode. does race reg still need case ground like pancake elec also?

the old style has 1 wire and the new has 2 wires

yes the regulator MUST be grounded... either style
