Thanks Greg. I have Eddy heads and the early 70's stock chrome valve covers. I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree...but how thick is .050 in inches? I might be interested in what you have. I just purchased some 3/32 gasket material and may cut my own out if I can't find something soon.

Russ save yourself some time and aggravation. The 3/32" or the .050" (approx 3/64") material WILL NOT SEAL the 70's stock chrome valve covers. They require a thicker gasket material that will conform to the surface irregularities of the stamped steel covers.
You may want to look for a fabricated valve cover and possibly have it motified for clearance in the area needed. Then you can use a thin gasket
