There is no way of knowing without the broadcast sheet. If you don't have that, maybe you trace back to the original owner.
There were four different factory installed options for a 68 GTX. Standard dog dish hubcaps, an optional set of "deluxe wheel covers" also optional "sport wheel covers" and the top of the line set chrome road wheels.

Some ways that you can possibly narrow it down. If the car is equipped with all four of these options. L/S remote mirror, AM radio, Power steering, and 3 speed wipers. There's a good chance you can eliminate the dog dish hubcaps, as those four options plus the deluxe wheel covers are part of the basic group.
