Can you turn the motor over manually by turning the crank or converter? Did the converter bolt up to the flexplate with no pullup?

The Gen III Hemi crank extends a little further from the block than previous V8's, this could shove the converter into the trans too far and cause the binding...only way to know for sure is to unbolt the converter from the flexplate and see if it will turn.

I knew about the projection. I bought a flex plate from Mancini that is made for this swap and adjust for this offset. I am nor sure what you mean by "pull up" though?

What he's refering to is..When the engine/trans were mated there should be some amount of freeplay between the torque converter and flexplate...The torque converter should have slid back into the trans far enough that you had to "pull up" the convertor to meet the flexplate....That's why he's asking you to unbolt the unit from the flexplate and give the convertor a spin to make sure it spins freely between the plate and trans...
