Can you turn the motor over manually by turning the crank or converter? Did the converter bolt up to the flexplate with no pullup?

The Gen III Hemi crank extends a little further from the block than previous V8's, this could shove the converter into the trans too far and cause the binding...only way to know for sure is to unbolt the converter from the flexplate and see if it will turn.
