I have comp elite lifters in my 572 hemi, fresh rebuild with all same clearance's as original engine was set up with, orig was flat tappet and the cam was almost dead at 6400 miles so we went solid roller, it is a crane .587 int, .568 exh , duration @ .050 is 254 int, 262 exh, springs are 155 on the seat, 410 open. Problem now is I lose a lot of oil pressure after the engine heats up, have a Titan oil pump, 85 PSI cold 1500 RPM with 20-50 Z-Alt and about 18 PSI at 1000 RPM hot, 38 PSI @ 2500 rpm on the highway, seems like the lifters have to be the culprit as we did not have this big oil pressure loss issue before. It might be OK but I am bugged by it, have about 2500 miles on it now since changing and seems like there is lots of info out there about solid rollers failing in a street engine application or should I say in 2500 miles. I already have tons of money in this engine and do not want to hurt it again.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, have explored lots of option from Jesel to comp 829 to crower severe duty, Isky Ez-Roll etc
