thanks guys! The motor from the factory was a low-comp engine i think i calculated 7.8-1. The plan was to step up my pistons, but the previous owner had apparently cut the heads down already, giving me 9 - 1 compression ratio. Not the best way to do that i know, but i had to work with what i had.

I actually test - fitted a pair of headers that look like the above picture, might have even been the same ones. There was no way they would work. Because the only exit is straight down (and the exhaust pipe still has to make a sharp bend outwards to clear the frame rail.) More than likely after i get this thing running again, I'll will be keeping my eyes open for better manifold options.
