But, that said, stroke just lowers the power band. In most cases we would not want to turn 10,000 RPM so we elect to go with more stroke and turn 8,500.

I like strokers easier to choose converters and easier to maintain compared to a short stroker making the same power.

I agree,select the right cam and gearing and you can make good use of a 4" stroke,maybe even more stroke. Set it up to make some torque instead of winding it to the moon and your valvetrain will thank you.
