Remember, the 829 is the older original Comp solid roller. The 829 relies on splash for oiling. Then they came out with the Endure-X that uses an EDM oil hole to provide oil to the roller. And finally their ultimate lifter called the Elite (98829-16), which oils both the roller and allows oiling through the pushrod. The elite also has a different body style to minimize lifter bore scuffing and they are made from a lighter alloy. But they cost $1000!

The Isky red zones are great lifters. Not as "high tech" as the Elites but probably better than the 829s.

And as long as we're spending big $ don't overlook the Crower lifters.
