if you can fork the coin, go for the aluminum block, KB is best. Stage V heads ported from Modern Cylinder Head. I'd go with Indy's intake if hood clearance is an issue and you want to use a single carb. go for a 4.5" bore by 4.5" stroke. .650-.700 cam. Stage V rockers are best standard config gear (top fuel uses them)

Since you might go with a procharger later on, get a good rotating assembly. Most good cranks are expensive but worth it, Callie, kellog, bryant, etc. Rods: Manley pro series I-beams or Oliver Billet rods, or Childs and Albert.
