I was running a pertronix with the matching coil and no ballast. I just switched over to a Mopar electronic distributor and am running Accel's 300+ universal with rev control and matching coil. No ballast on this set-up either. I welded up and filed the advance slots to shorten up the mechanical advance, so I can run more initial. The car loves this set-up.

I believe Accel is the unit mentioned by FBO when you want to run multi-strike. I've run them before with no reliability issues. It packs alot of ignition power, is inexpensive and easy to install.

I keep a points dizzy and stock coil in the car for insurance.
