Letting the tires pull the motor down with a slippery clutch is a no no but I find myself doing it sometimes to see how the track is. If the tires don't pull the engine down I know I am about to let the clutch go on a throw away pass. I realize having the clutch duke it out with the tires can't be good for the clutch. Bad habit I guess
