Actually if he is coming up 70 he can just run route 30 West right to Bedford and merge right onto 99.

Skips the turnpike 100 percent.

Goes right past my house and its easy as cake.

We run the pike one year to PRP and it was longer and out of our way.

70-30-99-22 is still the best way to go.
