Is there anything "special" or different about the Trick Flow Cometic head gaskets (made by Cometic) vs the Cometic head gasket? I see they are $12 more a gasket. I was planning on just getting Cometic ones, but wanted to check 1st.

Only person who knows the answer to that question is the purchasing agent at Trick Flow and I doubt he is going to log in here to tell you.

So you'll just have to take a guess. My guess is that it is just a Cometic gasket with a Trick Flow sticker on it but I could be wrong.

Probably just like TF selling re-labeled Quick Fuel carbs...

Maybe the TF Cometic gaskets will cover the machining dimples they had on the earlier 240 heads? I had oil leaks from the dimples using the felpro gaskets they suggested. I had to fill the dimples with "right stuff" to get the leaks to stop.
I am using the regular Cometic gaskets without any problems.
