68GTS383 OP pro stock 6 Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 1,244 Eastern,NC	Looked at this car yesterday (WS23L8 auto). What numbers should be on the eng/trans and where on the body will they be found? Morty426 master M Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 9,550 Sacramento CA	In 68 I think only the broadcast sheet ties it all together. The car will be stamped with the sales order number, not the serial number. Only the sheet has both on it. The motor / trans, if stamped, will be stamped near the oil sender and directly across on the transmission.

The VIN sequence number will also be specific for a single Scheduled Production Date (SPD). The Broadcast Sheet will list SPD, SO#, VIN, and much more.
