I'm about to tackle it and I'm finding out no part stores carry replacement manifolds. i see them on e-bay, would rather use the old ones if they are not cracked or warped. any ideas for a supplier. Thanks

Did mine a year ago, and just had the sealing surfaced shaved. It sure had lost some layers though. Did a ford triton this year(very similar to 4.7), and that guy got the new manifold from napa auto parts. Oh yeah, the dakota had the Y-pipe flange rusted bad too, so I got one of those hokie 2 piece ones from parts store, instead of having to replace the Y pipe.

Most of the time it is just broken exhaust bolts, these and Hemis are notorious for that problem. Your manifolds should be ok. New bolts, stud, nuts, gaskets and heat shield should fix you right up. Hopefully none of the bolts are broken too deep it the head.

I've done both of mine. Left side about two years ago and right side last month. Left side was only leaking @ the rear. I Draw filed it flat., might be worth having it machined if you have a source. The right side was leaking @ the rear and the front. front lower bolt was broke. The right side was about an 1/8" warped. center looked good, front and rear were out. again I file them as flat as i could get and reinstalled. We'll see how it goes.

What years have these issues? I have a 2008 Ram with the 4.7L.
