15" rims , I guess the biggest load tire I can get it's a heavy trailer , but I don't have it sitting near buy to answer the weight of it.I know some of the guys were talking about a tire company down in Arkon,oh. area and a few claimed to have great results with them. But google hasn't been much help.Neither is old age since I can't find the pages I printed off or my memory.

Stay away from Carlisle.

Somewhere you can get 16" rims for the 6-bolt pattern you probably have. There is a wider range of heavier duty tires that can be found in 16" sizes. Just watch the sizes for possible clearance issues.

Lots of good info here:

Classracer.com - trailer tire thread

Check wheel bearings and adjust brakes regularly also.
I saw a significant drop in bearing issues with my old, heavy open trailer that uses 3,500 lb axles when I started using Amsoil's Series 2000 Synthetic Racing Grease.

Amsoil source & info site.

Maxxis 15" tires, for me have been the best on my 30'trailer. NEVER blown a single one. They're rated higher than any other 15,and 80psi service. I tow coast to coast, overloaded, and 80+mph. I blew tires ALL the time, from different makers before switching to these

I use 17.5's on my big trailer and they NEVER blow.

I also went with the Maxxis tire, except they were on national back order for the E rated tire, so I ended up buying the D rated tires..

They look good on the trailer and seem to support the weight better than the Carlise tires that came OEM...

Goodyear trailer tires for me too, been through at least four sets on 2 different trailers, no failures yet. I over fill them with air before every trip because I'm always worried about my fenders. Low air is what causes them to fail, along with curbs.

All I can say is I wish we had more choices.. but it seems almost everything is made elsewhere these days..

I was having a lot of trouble with the 15" 205 Goodyear Marathons and my local tire store convinced me to try a chinese trailer tire that they had sold many of with no complaints. Currently I have removed all Marathons and have 4 Chinese tires on my 20ft enclosed. The last trip we made I checked the tires every time we stopped and they were barely warm where the Marathons were always hot. Hopefully these will have a decent life. They're cheaper than the Goodyears also.

I use Tow Masters or Redballs, I have blown out my share of Marathons, Carlisles, and other cheap Chinese brands.

FWIW 205-15" tires are tiny and way under rated for a 20' enclosed trailer.
My open 16' trailer came with 215-15" tires which weighs way less than any enclosed.
Don't blame the Goodyears because they were way too small for your trailer. I doubt you will have any better luck with any tire if there the same size.

BTW it almost hurts to look at your sig picture, can you update it?.

Guys thanks for the suggestions, some good info on Tires the towmaster is the tire I think was the Name I was looking for , but if Maxxis works for Dthemi, I'll never put those kind of miles on a trailer.

Myron thanks for the classracer link , I always seem to forget about that site , it had some good reading on changing hubs.

Challenger, I agree the 205s are small size and as it is they barely fit within the wheelwell. My next trailer will definitely have larger tires.

Is it the Fuzziness of my picture that you don't like?? We pulled it from a video and couldn't get any sharper. It is kind of old tho and I'll try to get a new one soon so it won't make you dizzy. HA!!

Thanks, Max

Hello John! You definitly want an "E" load tire for the 28'. The last time I bought tires I found Jerry Lozon @ Milan had unbeatable prices. Give him a call IMO.

If you are in the Detroit area, try McCormack Racing and ask for Karen or Mark. They are in Lincoln Park area on Fort St. Good people to work with. Their # is 734-999-DRAG
