I had that tire tucked into my Duster but I had to enlarge the wheel opening front and rear. So if you do that I don't see why you couldn't make it fit. You might need to push the quarter out a little though.

29.5 x true 10.5 on a 12" rim is wall to wall on my car.

I have just fitted full tubs in mine, still stock rails to get 31"x10.5W slicks on, the axle is moved back an inch and lowered around an inch or so. I've also trimmed the lip too around 3/4" and they fit with room to spare.

X2...This is my findings as well. I am sure it will be too wide for an unaltered frame.

Some of the Hoosiers are bigger in diameter. If you put that tire on a 12" rim it will be a tight fit in width. The opening will work no problem, provided you move the axle back...like so--->
