okay i was on the freeway & then there was a real bad noise sounded like a tinny like sound real loud for only a few seconds then went away .thought motor blew pulled over no noise motor sounds fine but runs very bad like choke is stuck or plugged up jet in carb . but no black out the back starts fine I drove it 40 miles after this . It just runs like crap. Maybe jumped time took a valve ??? what do you guys think? It is a small block built 360 electronic ign. p.s .car will still smoke tires but will not idle very well & seems like it is fighting to run I did change carb out same thing. any ideas????

on a tim ch check: see what it's timed at (initial), check idling vacuum, put timing marks on TDC & see if the rotor is on/close to #1 or #6. Holler back
