has any used the BB motor mounts from Rock Auto? i've read stories here about how what is available lately from anywhere are total garbage and at $4 each at the Rock that just seems too good to be true! recommendations or comments? 69 Road Runner 440

Schumacher's poly-locs aren't garbage (in fact they are quite good) but not cheap.

As long as you limit the travel of the engine with a torque strap or chain most rubber mounts should work.

I had some issues with a set of MityMounts from Dynatech, and they quickly replaced them with the correct ones. Apperantly a few bad sets got out early on in production, but they have corrected that now. The replacements fit like the factory ones. You can't really tell the difference between them and stock ones when they're installed.

They require no additional engine restraining devices, as they are self limiting. I like them because they look stock, allow the engine to shake(Shaker hood), bolt right in and are very strong.

I've read all kind of horror stories on the Net and I have decided to give it a try anyway... I don't regret them, good fit,no crazy vibrations etc... all good!
