There's not too many 5-inch patterned rims that show up here; I'd like to find some Torq Thrusts or old style 5-slot mags for my 1972 Imperial.
Can anyone recommend some "other" sites like Moparts.com that I can go scavenge for rims for sale?
Thanks for your inputs!
Ron

Hmmmm.... I didn't think about the center register... Thank you. I'll make sure I measure that on one of my rims and on the applicable parts of the car so I know the measurements. Thank you!

He mentioned about wanted either TT's or slots, that is why I had said about a swap meet.. (if billet wheels were on the list, lots of that stuff out there too, especially from lowered truck guys that keep up dating from 17" to 20" ,etc. And 15" 2 piece billet stuff is worth nothing anymore,I've bought a bunch of them to sell in Oz, and can find them at the swap meets for $100 a set no problem at all) Worth looking around in Craigslist too, slots seem to turn up on there too.

yup. 2wd chev trucks are 5x5, as are GM B bodies, including the '94-96 impala SS.
check out the centerline wheels website for overstock...
something in the 6-12mm+ offset (so 4.75-5" backspace for an 8" rim) should work....
these are $160/ea for forged 17x8's(!) http://centerlinewheels.com/wheel_deals_detail.php?id=13113&type=bolt&data=5-5.0
these are about $100 more http://centerlinewheels.com/wheel_deals_detail.php?id=12426&type=bolt&data=5-5.0
for the size of the car, some 17's or 18's with tire sizes used on the LX cars (which are ~28-29" tall) would look about right...
I have the Tomohawk series 20 in. "Sniper"rims and love'm very light weight for that big of a rim also. The one thing I dont like about them is I have to use the stick on weights.Oh and the rubber O-rings that hold the center caps rotted b4 I could put them on the car.Just from sitting on the shelf for about a year and the front ones just barely fit.

Oz - WOW! Great idea about the 17-inch folks upgrading! And the 15-inch 2 piece billet I'm not familiar with so I'll have to research that. YOu say to "sell in Oz"... can you educate me on how to "shop in Oz"?. Thanks for the ideas!

I ment that I buy them here and ship them to Australia to sell them. (since I am loading containers anyways, works out well) On the 15" stuff....like all the old style Boyds,Eagles, etc that are out there. Easy to move the back spacing if need be as well. Another option...if you find a set cheap that are 5 on 4.75 bolt pattern (Chevy car) you could redrill/insert them to 5 on 5 in most cases too. (if you got the wheels cheap enough to make that worth while)

i've been looking at 17x8" wheels for my '71 imp. i probably will get some cheap black steelies. there are actually quite a few available in 5x5. check for example summit's wheel selection narrowed to 17x8 and 5 on 5"... it's good that they list the center bore sizes for the wheels. http://www.summitracing.com/search/Depar...cAsc&RC=100the hub on my '71 is ~3.05", and i talked to a place about getting aluminum hub centric rings made. they advised to go with around a 4" hole so the ring would be ~1/2" thick; easier to machine and sturdier. then i think a 235/65-17 tire will fit. cheers

Why is everybody overlooking the obvious? JENSEN INTERCEPTOR is a 5x5 bolt pattern!
