More then you would think (especially on street tires), Most stock BB converters are 12" on the belly, are you talking BB or SB??

How did you measure it? If it is a stock converter, it'll measure 12" on the belly, maybe even 12 & a half.

I'm very sure you will be fine like i said, if your running street tires & not thrashing the dog poop out of it, I don't see it failing, Run a nice size tranny cooler too.

I really dont know. But the stock verts were behind the 440,s with 480 ft.lbs of torque.

So they should be able to handle more then that by just abit. That type super charger only increases torque about 100 lbs. or so. Added to the stock 383,s torque you should be fine imo.

The stock verts arent built with anti balloon plates so Im sure they have there limits. Ive never heard of any stock vert failures over the years, but, most dont use them in high HP combos.

Ive seen one post though by a member that the stock verts look like junk on the inside. I myself have never seen the inside of one.
