Drag racing engine up to 7200 rpm...3.31 stroke.. only needs to run 10.50's in a 3400lb A-body.
1. What is a good wet sump oiling system combo??
2.Heads..are the Magnum R/T heads good and are they around?? If not what's the best stock head to use?? Heads will be ported.
3.Intake...whats good?? Have to use a spread bore type carb(TQ or Rochester)
4.Rods and crank...who has the good stuff??
Cam..solid or roller?? Prefer a solid due to costs, but if roller will be better in long run,I'd go that route.

PM one of the builders on here close to you.
I personally recomend Dan at performance only, but there is many builders on here that do good work and have the numbers to prove it.
Asking that generic of a question on this board is gonna get ya confused by replies.
Personally id go,
Ported "308" or J heads,
Hughes solid flat tappet cam,
K1 rods and crank, or stock 340/318 steel crank,
Diamond, or comparable forged pistons,
and have your builder spec the cam, compression, carb,
as for oiling, just a good ol high volume oil pump.

No W2's.... has to be a stock type head..10.70 to 10.80 is a more realistic ET though. Tony,I sent you a PM,but don't spill the beans.

I threw out 7200 as a base line..can go higher I guess..I'm a big block guy....don't need to run those 383 and 440's that high.Last time I raced a small block was 30 years ago,so I know what I ran then is outdated.
10.70-10.80 ET is what I'm after.Doesn't need to go faster than 10.70.

Yes..3.31 stroke. I know a 3.58 or 4.00 stroke is a easier engine to build to run 10.70's.

I think it would be much easier if you layed out the rules or restrictions... if you have to stay at the stock stroke you better turn UP the revs... 7200 is barely past the stock revs
