Taking off my lift off T/A hood on my 71 Challenger, bought an R/T hood got it painted now just wondering how I am going to get it to clear the carb/breather.

I am running a 383 with an Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold with a Holley 750dp carb. Obviously the stud will be shortened (pic to follow). But I've already got a drop base on it, and the short filter will have to be replaced with a taller one just to clear the carb. Surely someone else has this combo on their car and can offer some advice??

I really, REALLY don't want to have to pull that manifold...

thx in advance and thx Moparts!
