Anyone ever try/use one of these?
Says it "flows 1,000cfm"
I want to use it on an 850carb. on top of a 450/475ish HP engine using a small 177 SuperCharger.

I use one on my small block for street cruising. I do not run it at the drag strip. I like it. The only thing to look out for is that the foam filters can catch fire if your engine back fires.

Watch out for backfires thats for sure. A friend had 1 on his Cougar and when it backfired, it lit up and melted right down the carb. A real PITA to get cleaned out. Never did run right with that carb after that.

I had one of those 35 years ago. Never had the slightest inclination to buy another one for the same reasons mentioned above.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

We used to call them gravel catchers.......That's about all they'd stop from going in your carb/engine!
