Nice car. Just my opinion, not a fan of the spoiler on any charger. EXCEPT the Daytona.
I think the go wings spoil the body lines of the car.
How much ya got done on the HEMI plant?

same here, nice car. i also dont care for " the chip foose dub look" on our old muscle cars. leave the big rims for the newer cars, that were designed for them, and look good on them. but, thats just me. i'm more oldschool....

Amazing what a set of wheels and tires will do... looks great.
The Dart had 13" wheels and tires from the factory, and after the resto will be on 17s. Too bad it has been eight years in the making, I don't think the "swap shock" will be as significant, lol. Just trying to get it back together.

should fit under the hood i measured my buddys six pack...thank god for the new 1.4 inch 2000cfm scorpian throttle throttle body..
I hope so no much room under a 70 hood ask me how I know.. they factory six-pack set-up pushes up into the hood insolation...so if it's ANY hight you'll be into the hood quick. Not sure if the eddy heads sit higher than factory. I know my stage VI heads do.

He's got a hemi and that throttle body is half as thick as a carb, plus hood pads , like hubcaps , are for lawn chair dorks .
I'll not comment on the wheels or spoiler since the OP is outlining his build NOT asking for opinions on the look of the car.

Doesn't seem like enough tire for the potential of that car. I thought you could fit 295's on the rear of a 68-70 charger. And I'm pretty sure you could fit 275/40/17 or 275/35/18 on the fronts.
hi autox,i always read your posts and thanks for all the info you write...i totally agree with my tire sizes....but here is why i had to do it..first off these wheels are American Racing torqlites, which are copies of weld pro stars but in an 18.when bob weld died ar stole the design and then the new owner of weld had a lawsuit against ar for stealing it,so ar wholesaled these things for 400 a set..they were a steal if you ask me...my rears are only 18x8 and a 275 35 18 just barley fits notice how they bulge slightly but i like it...i will have these wheels professionally widened next time around...my fronts are 18x7,and i did this cause a i wanted a deeper dish on the rear....these are the only sizes that were made by ar... 18x7 and 18x8.they did make in 17 and 15..i think 16 too.i also picked these wheels cause every thing looks gheeto in a 18 except fikse or weld rts which are 3k plus.everyone an their mother has torqethrusts plus since these wheels are all sold out just recently nobody has them except a few on ebay and you cant buy them anymore and the prostar is a American classic now and always will be.plus i like how the lugs are shrouded and not exposed like other wheels.here is another pic...

SublimeHemi – WOW! That looks like a really clean Charger! Congratulations on the new wheels! We look forward to watching the project. Thanks for picking our TVS for your updated suspension. Keep us updated on the progress.
thanks hotchkis,i can not wait to put the kit on..quick question notice the way my car sits with 318 leaf springs, how much lower do you think its gonna sit or will it stay the same?
not sure if it will sit any lower. FWIW you need more meat out back.

Are they 40 year old 318 leaf springs?
If they are old and sagging I bet it will sit 1" lower. That's about what they did to my car. Newer springs, maybe 2".

Nice build SublimeHemi. Should be a blast to drive when finished.
I just put the rear springs on my Challenger and it only lowered the car 1/2". Was hoping for a 2" drop. Had original springs with DrDiff hangers in the lower hole of the front spring mount. Installed the new Hotchkis springs in the upper mounting hole. Wish they offered different rear spring choices but that would a real pain for them.
btw...Fikse is having a spring sale on 18" wheels.
Was the upper hole in the Dr Diff front hangers lower than the Hotchkis front hanger?
What side rear tires do you have? What is the measurement from the ground to the top of the rear fender lip front and rear?

i dropped the duration just a touch 241 246 cause in the hemi book rich used 572 im using 528 but i think the larger wheel diameter of the comp elites lifters brings it back to riches specs....its running 10.4 compression with out of the box mopar/edelbrock hemi heads and mopar/ barton 4150 4bl intake
we just threw a dominator on it with a spacer, used 2.25 tti,i bought the holley hp efi and did not end up using the fast ez system...
what a great combo i have to say it has more in it...hats off to mike and dale chenoweth and mopar rich i love my new bullet...will post pics soon

670 hp 660 tq,i made 1.27 hp per cubic inch with my 528 and the book hemi had 572 which made the same 1.27...that 44 extra cubes made the difference..my dyno curve is the same as the book even when hp and torque crosses paths ... fastman efi ran his 4 deg advanced and so did i..i wonder what it would of done with jeff's at modern cnc program?...

well im in love with the new holley efi system....ez efi is batch-fire and does not control timing...holley hp is sequential and controls timing..i wanted a very capable system...the holley hp is the best system for the money...especially when on sale:) the new ez efi II looks promising saw it at drag expo...controls timing now and they tweaked the software a bunch....but its going to be over 3k...
