What do you guys use to install a fuel pressure gauge.
I just got AN-4 stuff. But it looks to big. I was thinking of something smaller. And want to know what racers use.
Thanks
Bill

I would use an AN-2 line with a .020 orfice, if the line breaks, you wont have gallons of gas sprayed all over. Tim

I went with AN-4 stuff. A lot more fittings and hoses ( push-loc ) to chose from than -2 stuff.

I just ordered a teflon AN3 line.
Going from the regulater to the gauge mounted up by the windshield. I want to see how much fuel pressure I have when going throu the lights.

Thanks for the replys.

Is that line a small orifice like Tim recommended?
If so where did you order and could you give me the part number?
I also have a regular steel braided line for the oil pressure gauge mounted in the car. It would seem like a good idea to also have a small orifice line to the the oil gauge as well.
Thanks for the post.

Most people I know use a brass fitting that is pipe to flare, solder it closed and use a pin drill to make a small hole in the solder. Aircraft use the same type of fitting on their oil sending lines. If the line breaks, it gives the pilot more time to make an emergency landing before the sump is empty. Dont forget to bleed the line. Tim

The AN-3 Teflon is actually 3/16 ID or very close. I bought the line from a local hardware store that makes industrial type lines and hoses.

Thanks Tim sounds like good and inexpensive advice/insurance.

I picked up my line yesterday. The orifice is about 1/8 inch in the fitting.
They crimped the ends on for me. The line looks perfect. 7'-6" long, 2 SS ends and labor $61.35. Seemed a bit high, but got what I wanted.

Thanks
All

I will be racing at Englishtown next weekend at the Mopar Event.
Hope to see a few of you guys there.
